Since starting Advocations, our focus has been 1 person, 1 job, 1 company at a time. But with 13 million active job seekers with a disability and an aging baby-boomer generation, it’s time to scale. FedEx started as an idea that created an industry and changed what is possible. With the unemployment rate for people with disabilities higher today than before the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act, we want to do the same. Help us deliver on our shared commitment to diversity and inclusion by connecting people and possibilities. Winning the FedEx small business grant would expedite our efforts to transform “not” “able” into notable and together we could make disability something worth talking about.
I am social entrepreneur focused on elevating the status of people with disabilities through work. By designing and implementing innovative and sustainable workforce solutions, I help companies engage a diverse talent pool while strategically minimizing the vocational impact of disability.
